Hello and apropos nothing specific between us, I wanted to share this —
The Four Sufi Gates of Speech
—is it honest?
—is it necessary?
—is it the right time?
—is it kind?
The “gates” are questions to consider before letting your words pass (or your letting your emails pass, I suppose!)
They struck me as beautiful and useful: two of my favorite things — especially to end on the note of kindness.
